JP Sheets Click-to-Call Privacy Policy
tel: protocol handler.
Purpose
The extension has one purpose: when a user intentionally clicks a supported RingCentral call link in Google Sheets, it prevents the extra RingCentral web page from opening and passes the telephone number to the operating system's TEL handler so the configured desktop calling application can place the call.
Information processed
The extension processes only the information needed for that user-initiated action:
- the telephone number contained in the clicked call hyperlink;
- the clicked hyperlink itself, only to verify that it is a supported RingCentral call link; and
- the user's click or Enter-key action used to start the call.
This processing occurs locally in the user's browser. The extension does not scan Google Sheets cells for data and does not read or modify spreadsheet contents.
Collection, storage, and transmission
The extension does not collect, store, log, sell, or transfer user data to the extension developer, JP, analytics providers, advertisers, or other external services. It contains no analytics, advertising, telemetry, background network requests, account tokens, or cloud storage.
The extension does not retain telephone numbers or clicked-link information after the local call-launch action.
Website access
The extension is limited to Google Sheets pages matching
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/*. This access is used only
to detect a user-initiated click on a supported call link and replace the
normal web navigation with a local tel: launch.
Third-party applications
After the extension invokes the tel: protocol, Windows and the
user's configured TEL application, such as RingCentral, handle the call
according to their own settings and privacy practices. The extension itself
does not make a RingCentral API request or send the phone number to a
developer-operated server.
Remote code and tracking
All executable JavaScript used by the extension is included in the extension package. The extension does not download or execute remote JavaScript or WebAssembly and does not perform behavioral tracking.
Data sharing and sale
User data is not sold. User data is not used or transferred for purposes unrelated to the extension's single click-to-call purpose, and it is not used to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if the extension's functionality or data handling changes. The current version will remain available at this URL.
